Brisbane Metropolitan Fibre Ring - Stage 2 (Under Construction)

Short Project Description:

 

This project is to connect existing fibre to Research and Educational Institutions in the Brisbane metropolitan area (including Queensland University of Technology and the Royal Brisbane Hospital campuses) by forming a fibre ring thereby providing much needed resiliency for research and educational sites.

 Infrastructure:

 

Construction of two thick fibre optic links (approx. 3km) from Kelvin Grove to the Royal Brisbane Hospital (RBH) at Herston and from the RBH to Fortitude Valley.

Up to $500k

Up to $125k (CSIRO, AARNet, and QRNO)
